What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is the practice of using relaxation techniques and guided visualisation to create positive change. 

Hypnotherapy can create change in a huge variety of conditions, including negative thoughts and belief systems.

Hypnotherapy can also wipe out unwanted habits and undesirable feelings that we may have, as well as reducing or even cancelling out chronic and unwanted pain. Hypnotherapy is also incredible at promoting personal development and unlocking inner potential.

The aim of the hypnotherapist is, therefore, to assist you in finding meaningful alternatives to your present unsatisfactory ways of thinking, feeling, or behaving, and to help in creating positive change.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis has been used for thousands of years and is a natural, trance-like state, where we can become suggestible to new ways of thinking. In its simplest form, it can simply involve creating an emotion and making a suggestion. Deeper levels for hypnotherapy purposes, often use relaxation techniques used by a hypnotherapist.

What will you experience?

 

It will almost certainly be one of the most relaxing experiences you will ever have. Whilst in a relaxed state, you will be guided through the use of a story or metaphor, or direct or indirect suggestion (or a combination of some or all of these). 

You will remain conscious and coherent throughout the session, and you will be able to converse during the session with any of your own questions or when they are asked of you.
